Avain Asumisoikeus has built two wooden apartment buildings in the best location in Porvoo. Taidetehtaankatu 5 is located in Porvoo’s West Bank, the western riverside part of the city centre. The West Bank is being developed as a diverse area for housing, services, culture and recreation. Next to the property is the West Bank guest marina with its growing services, and within walking distance on the opposite side of the river lies Old Porvoo with its boutiques and cafés.
This property includes as many as 96 apartments in a light Scandinavian style. The apartment types range from small units to large family homes, and the top‑floor apartments are stylish loft homes with mezzanines.
This A‑energy‑class building is heated with district heating, and all apartments have individual mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation with heat recovery. Each apartment also has its own cooling system via an air‑source heat pump.
The property was completed in November 2025. Applications for apartments are accepted continuously.
There are 43 parking spaces in the parking hall, 6 carport spaces at the ends of the building, and 15 shared parking spaces on the adjacent LPA plot available between 17:00 and 07:00. All parking spaces are equipped with standard electrical outlets. Eight of the parking hall spaces and all 15 spaces on the LPA plot have charging stations for slow electric‑vehicle charging. Three of the parking hall spaces are accessible spaces that can be rented with a disabled parking permit.
The property also includes two building saunas next to the club room, and residents can reserve sauna shifts.
